Our Mission
Agriculture, forestry, & horticulture represent humanities' largest footprint on Earth. Our passions are systems that work for producers and the planet. Flatwater Carbon's mission is to work towards the creation of more sustainable cities and landscapes by putting carbon back into the soil, where it belongs.
Biochar has shown great promise as a keystone in these sustainable systems. From regenerative and organic agriculture to restoring ecosystem services, how we treat our soil greatly impacts the world around us.
Flatwater Carbon is expecting to begin selling biochar at scale in 2025 as a private partner to the City of Lincoln Nebraska.
